Messages of the Stars

Just a silly little idea, more or less: The 'stars' of the Starled Empire send messages in vague rhyme. I really shouldn't mess around with poetry.

Messages of the Stars

REASON/RETURN

The fire rises from the dark,

Quickly growing from a spark,

We see it act but know no name,

But who can trust a burning flame?

Rebuild the empire that once was led,

Speak again words too long unsaid,

Spread word of hope across the land,

The time of stars is again at hand.

WARNINGS

Not just a flame has come forth,

The bubble quivers in the north,

West lies an evil consuming souls,

 And further on terrors emerge from holes.

To the south a hammer long thought broken,

Has enslaved many with its dark token,

Yet they are not the only slaves,

For more reside against the waves.

A protected land long thought pure,

Has become corrupt, good could not endure,

And far off undead lands are reborn,

Over the fallen of the Lifesworn.

But states are not the only threat,

For great monsters unleashed are now upset,

The red wind blows and obscures the sky,

The sea-beast rages and refuses to die.

The blueblood comes across the waves,

But she only seeks out what she craves,

And for long ages she has fought against us,

She refuses our wisdom, declares it ‘suss’.

In the lands across the seas,

Places that never heard our pleas,

Have grown beyond their limitations,

And plot invasion of all nations.

Heed our warnings and be prepared,

For in victory fell none would be spared,

Rise again humans well led,

Listen well, and let the words be said.
